by on April 22, 2009

Sean Paul Joseph: Born March 7, 1979. He used to go by Sean Paul, butto avoid being confused with the Jamaican reggae artist with the same name he has changed his name to Sean P.

Sean P is originally from Decatur, Georgia where he crossed paths with friend and collaborator J-Bo at Miller Grove Middle School. This duo eventually became known as the YoungBloodZ bringing their own class of rap/crunk. The YoungBloodZ released “Against Da Grain” in 1999, which is best known by the single “U-Way” (How We Do It).

Sean P went on to make two more albums with the YoungBloodZ: “Drankin’ Patnaz” released in 2003 and, the 2005 release of “Ev’rybody Know Me”. With Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, “Bad Influence” is the tentative title of the YoungBloodZ third album, andis due to be released soon. Sean P has a considerable body of work aside from his YoungBloodZ projects accompanying J-Bo. Sean P released “Hood Anthems” along with other artistsin 2007, and his current solo project with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment titled “Very Necessary” which should see a release soon, includes the new single “I’m A Hoodstar”.
