As the TrackBoyz; Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have engineered and produced several hip-hop singles and LPs. Performing is how Williams got his start and was making a meager income selling background beat tracks in St. Louis when he met Kentin 1997, and ever since they have been producing beats.
The TrackBoyz started to be widely noticed as producers for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) when his album “Nellyville” rose to the top of the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers from St. Louis to break out nationally at the time, and TrackBoyz production team contributed a large part to his success.
The TrackBoyz have also produced projects for artists such as D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Directly after Tarboy and Capo took J-Kwon under their wing they began promoting his single “Tipsy”, rapidly overran the urban markets and nearly toppedof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today the TrackBoyz continue to sign and develop new talent.
