As the TrackBoyz; Mark “Tarboy” Williams and Joe “Capo” Kent, managed by Jeremy Geffen Entertainment, have produced and engineered many hip-hop singles and LPs. Williams started his career as a performer and was also eking an existence recording and selling background tracks in St. Louis when he met Kentin 1997, and since then they have been producing beats together.
The TrackBoyz first started gaining notoriety producing for Nelly (Cornell Haynes, Jr.) when his album “Nellyville” climbed up the Billboard charts in 2002. Nelly was one of the first rappers to break out of the local St. Louis scene at the time, and the TrackBoyz were no small part of his success.
The TrackBoyz have gone on to work with artists such as D12, Sean P, J-Kwon, Nappy Roots, and many others with Jeremy Geffen Entertainment. Immediately after the TrackBoyz began to develop J-Kwon they commenced to promoting his single “Tipsy”, rapidly overran the urban markets and nearly toppedof the Billboard charts in 2004. Today the TrackBoyz continue to sign and develop new talent.
